The
Order of the Arrow is the honor society of the Boy Scouts of America. We honor those campers who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Scout Law in their daily lives. E. Urner Goodman and Carroll A. Edson founded the Order in 1915 in Treasure Island Scout Camp in Pennsylvania, and it has spread across the nation since.
The National organization of the Order of the Arrow is divided into several regional Sections. Each section hosts a number of council OA lodges. The lodge is the core organizational unit of the Order.
Egwa Tawa Dee is the Atlanta Area Council's lodge. All Lodge, Section, and National events are listed on the site, as well as registration information. Egwa Tawa Dee is further divided into fifteen chapters
Milton District's New Chapter
As of Spring 2004 the Milton District had formed a new chapter. The Lodge is prepared to recognize us as a bona fide chapter at the Lodge Fall Fellowship in September. Please see
Mr. Neidert's letter of March 2004 for information.
Every OA member in a Milton District Troop is encouraged to participate in the planning and development of our new chapter.
Chapter Duties to the District
The local chapter is charged with promoting camping and holding OA elections for the Troops of the District. If your troop wishes to have a team perform a camp promotions visit or hold an election, contact your chapter advisor. We cannot accept any election unless performed by our elections teams and we can only hold one election per night, so please contact us early. We can accommodate every troop, but need your cooperation.
